District Commander's Corner

Welcome to the 3rd District Association of the American Legion, Department of Michigan. The American Legion is the largest Veterans Service Organization. Our members form thousands of local Posts across the country to bring patriotism and acts of kindness to all communities. In total there are 55 Departments of the American Legion that gives us the strength we have as a National Organization.

  6. Department of Phillipines
  • Each Department is made up of hundreds to thousands of individual American Legion Posts.
  • The Department of Michigan has 16 Disricts and each District is made up of the American Legion (Veterans) and their family for the Posts that are located within that District.
